A Distance Vector Hop-Based Secure and Robust Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Location information of sensor nodes in a wireless network is important. The are usually required to ascertain their positions so that the data collected by these can be labeled with this information. On other hand, certain attacks on networks lead incorrect estimation node positions. In such situations, when location not correct, may wrong subvert desired operation network. work, we formulate and propose distance vector hop-based algorithm provide secure robust localization presence malicious result position jeopardize operation. uses cryptography ensure adversaries As countermeasures, neutralized able estimate as desired. Our provides defense against various types security attacks, selective forwarding, wormhole, Sybil, tampering, traffic replay, compared algorithms which only one or two types. Simulation experiments performed evaluate performance proposed method, results indicate our achieves design objectives successfully. Performance method also basic hop based localization. reveal outperforms multiple nodes.
